PROGRAMS

The Salvation Army has a long-maintained role of working with some of the most vulnerable members of society. We offer a range of community services, which reflect the needs and desires of the communities in which our ministry units operate. 

Year-Round Services

Food Bank

Our Food Bank program is offered to those in need of food and emergency food assistance. We provide support to individuals and families, and provide both perishable and non-perishable food, toiletries, and other care products depending on availability. 

Pathway of Hope

Pathway of Hope is an individualize casework program that works directly with the client to achieve their goals. Through dedication and focus Pathway of Hope allows The Salvation Army to increase our impact with existing resources.

Utility Assistance

For help with household utility bills, The Salvation Army Strathroy are agents of Ontario Electricity Support Program (OESP), and can help offer financial assistance through the Low income Emergency Assistance Program (LEAP) for Entegrus clients. 

Seasonal Services

Income Tax Clinic

Our income tax clinic is offered to individuals who may not be able to have their taxes completed elsewhere. This is a drop-off service offered in March and April, prior to the tax deadline. 

Christmas Hampers

Christmas Hampers are part of the Christmas assistance program, that provides food and toys to families for immediate household members. Applications are open Sept 30-Nov 29.

Back-To-School

Back-To-School season is an exciting time of year for children and teens. We offer Back-To-School assistance for families struggling to purchase school supplies for their children.

Summer Camp

Through the Ontario Camping Ministries, kids age 7-15 have the opportunity to attend the amazing Adventure Camp up in the beautiful Ontario Muskoka's! A camp fee subsidy is also available!
